This debate on Islam, the side Islam is a peaceful religion that has been win.
They are more prepare for their speech than the other side. They have a lot more eyes
contact with the audient. And they don’t look at the paper as much as the other side. I’m
not really understanding all of what they said, just a little bit in over all… The side Islam
is a peaceful religion, this team has very strong argument and the way they talk as well
as their sound to their speech are really touch. These individuals has not ground to be
justified under islam. Adam Deen quoted from the Qur’an which states: “Fight in God’s
cause but do not overstep the limits. God does not love those who overstep the limits.”
Islam is when we talk about the war, but it’s not reflecting to their religions. They still
believe in God with the respectful. The other side was showed that they did not prepare
a lot for the information and not really a strong speech the way they talk. It is lack of
preparation on their side
I do not understand very much, but I think Mehdi Hasan had the best argument.
He had really straight talking in his speech and bring many facts into his debate, which
is need and make a strong argue. He asked the audience if they really believe that 1.6
billion people are all “followers, promoters and believers in a religion of violence”, which
is hating on a religion with 1.6 billion people. It is a big number with over 100 million
people, a quarter of humanity. He is really ready for his debate. He gave the strong
point and open in his speak. He even don’t need to look at his paper that much as other
people. Besides, he is so confident and talk and act as this is his strong side and he can
do anything to win this argument. Eyes contact, strong voice, interaction with the
audience, all of these are required for a better speech in persuasive as well as for the
debate.
