Notes on the “Undo” command You CANNOT Undo sheet movements: • • • Inserting / deleting sheets Moving sheets from one file to another Changing a sheet’s position in the workbook Undo after running a macro Undo freeze panes (Alt, W, F, F) Undo split worksheet (Alt, W, S) Undo after tracing precedents or dependents of a cell (Alt, M, P or Alt, M, D) in the same sheet where the last change was made You CAN Undo a change in cell number format but you cannot undo format merge (Alt, H, J, M) © F1F9 UK Limited 2020 01 Undo outlining (Grouping) but you cannot undo the change in outlining settings (Alt, A, L) Undo worksheet zoom level The maximum number of levels for the Undo command is 100. While you can increase or decrease the number of Undo levels in Excel by making some changes in the Windows Registry Editor, Microsoft recommends that you do not increase the undo levels beyond 100 as this may adversely affect Excel’s performance. © F1F9 UK Limited 2020 02
