Write a reflection paper (1 paragraph, 5-7 sentences) guided by these questions:
What significant learning/s did I get from the lessons, and how I honestly see these while I am in distance learning?
This subject taught me not just making essays but also how to become equipped
necessary for career achievement. Competency in reading, writing, critical thinking and
communicating correlates with overall student performance and success so much so that
modern achievement standards for college and career readiness focus on literacy development
across all content areas, making it the shared responsibility of all educators. Amidst this
pandemic, I manage to get some substance with this subject. I learn a lot that probably I will
use in my future endeavors. I am so grateful with this subject because it taught me how to
comprehend and not just how to write essays and read articles. Indeed, it is so hard to cope with
the current situation were dealing with but with the help of some learning materials and detailed
instructions of our teacher, I manage to get some meaningful wit and wisdom.
Since there will be no right or wrong answer here, the criteria will be the following:

(From RW module received from the school) - Answer “What I Can Do”, Letter C, page 15 of Lesson: Determining Textual
Evidences
• For those with RW module, you will use this article: No Vaccine, No Classes? School Opening in Limbo; Alternative
Modes of Learning Pushed by Janvic Mateo
• For those who do not have the module, another article to be critiqued will be sent to you.
In this time of pandemic, it is very essential to be safety especially the younger ones. Due to this situation
government implement “No Vaccine, No Classes” in which students allows to be in an alternative learning method
and that is online classes. Institutions across the world switched to virtual learning, with teachers, students, and
local leaders quickly adapting to an entirely new way of life. COVID-19 highlighted the essential role of child care
for children, families, and the economy, and our serious underinvestment in the care sector.
In the Philippines , we tend to focus on the educating roles of public schools, largely ignoring the ways in which
schools provide free and essential care for children while their parents work. When COVID-19 shuttered in-person
schooling, it eliminated this subsidized child care for many families. It created intense stress for working parents,
especially for mothers who left the workforce at a high rate.
The pandemic also highlighted the arbitrary distinction we make between the care and education of elementary
school children and children aged 0 to 5. Despite parents having the same need for care, and children
learning more in those earliest years than at any other point, public investments in early care and education are
woefully insufficient. The child-care sector was hit so incredibly hard by COVID-19.
The pandemic has affected nearly every facet of higher education, but what is most striking to me is the dramatic
decline in community college enrollment. Typically, we see enrollment in community colleges increase during
recessions as unemployed individuals seek new skills and first-time students look to gain a credential before
embarking on a career path. In this recession, the pattern is reversed: Enrollment in community colleges has
dipped by about 10% since last year. Declines are particularly sharp among first-time students and students of
color, raising critical concerns about increasing inequality in the coming years.
Despite of the negativity of this situation, our country must look on the bright side and still pursue study amidst
the pandemic. Do everything to be a successful and claim your brightest victory after this grudgingly obstacle
