ATTENTION
båÖäáëÜ
Installation may be carried out only by personnel expressly
authorized by Sirona.
ATTENTION
It is essential that you switch off the treatment center PRIOR
to starting the installation.
ATTENTION
For reasons of product safety, only original Sirona accessories approved for this product, or accessories from third parties approved by Sirona, may be used. The user is responsible for dangers resulting from the use of non-approved
accessories.
If any devices not approved by Sirona are connected, they
must comply with the applicable standards, e.g.:
• IEC 60950 for information technology equipment and
• IEC IEC 60601-1 for medical electrical equipment
In case of doubt, contact the manufacturer of the system
components.
ATTENTION
Any person who assembles or modifies a medical electrical
system complying with the standard IEC 60 601-1-1 (safety
requirements for medical electrical equipment) by combining it with other equipment (e.g. when connecting a PC) is
responsible for ensuring that the requirements of this regulation are met to their full extent for the safety of the patients,
the operators and the environment.
ATTENTION
To ensure the operational readiness of medical electrical
equipment, the use of mobile radio telephones in the practice or hospital area is prohibited.

Air quality
Lime deposits and corrosion residues in tap water can lead
to the following malfunctions:
Oil-free, dry and hygienically perfect air is required for driving the highspeed handpiece, for cooling the burr drives
and for the cooling spray.
•
Premature clogging of the filters in the unit
•
Rapid clogging of the fine water paths and jets in the
treatment instruments
For these reasons, the following points must be observed:
•
If the water hardness exceeds 12° dH (=2.15mmol), install a water softener.
•
Set dilution hardness to 8° dH (1.43mmol).
•
Install a conventional fine filter.
Fineness: >80µm (0.08mm).
•
Installation must be performed in compliance with the
recommendations of the national installation requirements (e.g. EN1717/DIN 1988).
•
The water quality must comply with the national requirements for drinking water.
•
The connection must be made to cold water.

Supply tube ends, corner valves and leads are routed as
shown (for details see Mounting Template).
•
Lay the template over lead ends on the site and check
the distances of the installation field from the walls in
accordance with the practice.
•
Then check the installation for the following:
1.
The top edges of the corner valves for air and water
must not project more than 60 mm above the upper surface of the finished floor.
2.
The suction and drain pipes must finish flush with the
upper surface of the floor. (Permissible deviation:
+5 mm).
Internal diameter for both pipes: 36.5 mm ∅.
3.
The electric leads must project by at least 500 mm.

NOTE
If the C2+ is being assembled as a replacement for an M1
that was previously located at this position, an adapter
board can be ordered (Order No. 58 70 493) with which the
existing mounting holes can still be used. For installation information regarding this point refer to “Fastening the Chair
to the Floor with the M1 Adapter Plate” on page 42
i
NOTE
A chair plate can be ordered for particularly uneven floors
(Order No. 58 71 913) which compensates the unevenness
of the floor. For installation information regarding this point
refer to “Fastening the Chair Base to the Floor” on page 13

ATTENTION
Drilled hole depth: The screed X and sound-deadening layer Y have to be overcome and a hole at least 80 mm deep
has to be drilled in the load-bearing concrete Z for a secure
anchorage.

Grease O-rings and insert the end-piece of the drain
hose (small hose diameter) and of the suction hose
(large hose diameter).
ATTENTION
Make sure that the suction pipe is connected as the suction
pipe - in other words, not mistaken for the drain.
Make sure the drain slopes over its whole length. Do not
place other hoses on it.
The drain is not required if the water is removed centrally by
suction. If the drain pipe is present, you must cover it.
