Aluminum (Al) is the third most abundant element,
subordinate only to oxygen and silicon, and it makes up
8 % of the Earth's crust.
It is also the only light metal to find its application in
load-bearing structures in civil engineering.
Nowadays, only steel is used more than aluminum in
the field of civil engineering.
Physically, chemically and mechanically AI is material
like
Steel
Brass
Copper
Zinc
Lead
Titanium
It can be melted, cast, machined and formed much like
these metals and it conducts electric current

PROPERTIES:

CORROSION RESISTENCE:
AI Naturally generates a protective oxide coating and is highly corrosion resistant.
•
ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY:
•
Very good conductor of heat and electricity and its relation to its weight it is more better then copper
•
REFLECTIVITY:
•
AI is a good reflector of visible light as well as heat and that together with its low weight makes it an ideal
material for reflectors e.g. in rescue blankets
•
DUCTILITY:
•
AI is ductile and has low melting point and density. In molten position it can be processed in multiple ways. It
makes easier to form any shape from aluminum.

IMPERMEABLE AND OOURLESS:
•
AI foil even when it is rolled to 0.77mm thickness it does not let taste or let light aroma out and is impermeable
which makes it ideal for packaging sensitive products such as food and pharmaceuticals.

RECYCLEABILITY:

AI is 100 percent recyclable with no damage to its quality.
