I would rather choose the international Standard because it has a broader background and
information compare to Local Standards, it may also discuss about the ideals that the International
Background may tackles about internationally and locally. International background can contain the
main ideals in Local Standard also, so if we have an idea or plan to work in other country, we should
pick International Standard to know the basic or information of every standard of the country we want
to choose. Also, we can consider ourselves as a National Passer, because we may not know what
opportunities that they will give to us. Another one was, always consider that international standards
can ensure consistency of essential features of goods and services, such as quality, ecology, safety,
economy, reliability, compatibility, interoperability, efficiency and effectiveness. Standards codify the
latest technology and facilitate its transfer. Standards are therefore an invaluable source of
knowledge. Thus, standards avoid reinventing the wheel: they distil expert knowledge and make it
available to all. International Standard also help make the development, manufacturing and supply of
goods and services more efficient and safer. Make trade between countries easier and fairer because
the same specifications are adopted for use in different countries as national or regional standards,
because some local standard can base on international standard, it is also effective and commonly
used support to national technical regulations and coherent within a global system, either within a
framework of mutually compatible standards, or as recognized formally by other standardizing bodies.
In this way, international standard can ensure vital features of goods and services are consistent that
can provide such as quality, ecology, safety, reliability, interoperability and so on. From this qualities,
local standard can be more knowledgeable about to reach the International Standard, because all the
ideas and knowledge in Local Standard are come from International Standard so we have to focus
more on international aspect of it. I will make an example of it, when a visitor came from our local
area, he will observe something is different about the plan making a building, he will think of it was
something wrong, so we can make a building in a local area but planned by International Standard
Planner to avoid misconceptions of visitor coming from first class countries like USA. We have to
consider that people are engaging in quality of the services and products of international standard
than Local Standard. And who knows in the future that the only standard they use will be international
standard because people are innovative and smart people. They use this to make one rule only that
this international standard can go further to the west and east. International Standard can be use
wherever we are and we can use this as a Main basis in planning and building.
The main reason why I choose International Standard was one way to overcome technical barriers in
international commerce caused by differences among technical regulations and standards developed
independently and separately by each nation, national standards organization, or business. To avoid
misconceptions in other country or area to provide knowledge in making a standard. It also maintains
close working relations with regional standards organizations and local standard organizations.
