Creating your best business starts with you. Your skills, talents, experiences and passions. The next step is finding out how to incorporate those aspects into revenue for you as a business owner. I’m guessing you already have a few skills that you sell to clients to bring in income. But, what are the other ways you can leverage your expertise to provide additional services that your clients need? For me, once I finally figured out that I had more than just one (or two) marketable services, the way I sold to the client changed dramatically. Before, I would only be able to design a logo or a printed marketing piece. But, once I learned that my Photoshop and design skills were valuable for web design, social media design, environmental design, my catalog of service offerings exploded. Now, I had more ways I could serve my client and bring them results. Not long after, I realized that WordPress was a very easy web publishing platform to use and so I started incorporating websites as yet another way that I could serve my clients. Then, you must determine what menu of products and services you can offer to your clients based on your own personal skills, potential and experience. Don’t forget... Sometimes you might need to learn a new skill or two that could unlock an entire new world of billable services. I want you to use this Business Plan worksheet as a guide. Use it to brainstorm the services and products that you can provide. Then, determine the price for each product or service and set a goal for how many you want to sell of each category during the year. As with any business plan, they change over time (because our businesses change). As your business shifts and grows, so will your business plan. Use this business plan to keep you focused on what you need to be doing in your business to reach your revenue goals. The business plan will also helps you to understand where your most profitable products and services which can help you know where to grow and focus your marketing efforts. I’m cheering you on and wish you the very best in your business and life! Blessings, I want you to be able to serve your clients well.
