INSTRUCTIONS MY CAMPUS/TURNITIN
for Submitting Work
As soon as you have completed the online tests and the course evaluation, you will be able to submit your
work in myCampus via Turnitin. In this connection, the IU University of Applied Sciences checks written
assignments for plagiarism with the help of the plagiarism software Turnitin.
After you have registered with myCampus, click on the name of the course that requires you to submit your
work. Then choose “Submitting Work to Turnitin”.
Now click on "Anti-Plagiarism Pledge". In this declaration you declare that you have created your work
independently.
By clicking on the "Answer the questions" button, you will be redirected to the Anti-Plagiarism Pledge.

You have to agree with the Anti-Plagiarism Pledge. To do this, click on "I agree!" and then on "Submit your
answers".
Click on the "Continue" button, you will be led back to the course view.
After you have agreed with the Anti-Plagiarism Pledge, you can submit your work via "Submission to Turnitin”
The following overview shows you the period in which you can submit your work and the post date for
your results.
In the following example, the submission period is from November 1st to November 30th. The post date
is always six weeks after the end of the submission period; in our example, the post date is January 13th.
Your grade/result will be published on the campus management system CARE on the post date. To upload
your work, click on “Submit Paper”.
Please note: You can only upload your work once; after you have uploaded your work, it is considered
to be submitted!

Please assign a title for your submission. Please use the following format to name the PDF you are submitting: YYYYMMDD_name_surname_matriculation number_course code
(e.g. 20181107_Mustermann_Max_123456789_DLMNEGE01).
Following criteria has to be satisfied to upload your work:





It has to be less than 40 MB
It must contain at least 20 words
It must be less than 400 pages
It must be uploaded as a PDF. Please do not submit scanned PDF files!
Incorrectly charged assignments, e.g. BWIR01 is uploaded in BWIR02, are rated as failed!
You can upload your file by using drag-and-drop. Furthermore, you can also upload your file via file picker.
If you want to upload your work via file picker, click on the “Add file” icon
The window “File picker” will be opened. Now go to "Browse" and select the file you want to upload. To
upload your work, click the button "Upload this file".

After inserting your work, you can submit it with the "Add Submission" button. This may take some time,
depending on the size of your work. Please do not close your browser/tab if the system does not give immediate feedback.
If you have successfully submitted your work, your digital receipt will be displayed on the screen. With any
click on the page, the digital receipt will be closed and you will be taken back to the overview of your submissions.
Up to the post date, you will be able to view any corrections from your tutor. For this, click on the title of your
work. Furthermore, you can also select the digital receipt of your submission. To do this, click on “View Digital
Receipt”. The digital receipt is considered as a confirmation for the submission. For this reason, we recommend
you to take a screenshot of the digital receipt and save it.
