Assalamualaikum, Praise to Allah, the Almighty. First and foremost, let us show our gratitude to our Creator by saying Alhamdulillah, As we all know, we all have been affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic. Many activities that are usually our routine, we can’t do it anymore. Let’s put aside our worries because life goes on. Teachers and pupils, Why do we learn a language? Why is it so important? The purpose for people to learn a language, number 1, is for communication and secondly, to convey the message to others. This is in line with the aim of the Ministry of Education to promote unity among Malaysian specifically school students regardless of races and religions or in short, ‘unity in diversity'. And it is totally possible through the mastery of Bahasa Melayu as our national language, and not to be forgotten, English as the second language. So, in conjunction with the English Language Month 2021, I really hope that you will take part in the interesting activities that have been planned, for example, poster drawing, storytelling competition, creative video competition and many more. Not to forget, a lot of attractive prizes to be won! I also hope you will take these activities as a part of a fun learning process. Throughout these activities, you can learn about being more competitive in the sense of completing the task wholeheartedly within the time given to become the winner. Before I end my speech, I would like to congratulate the English teachers and those who are involved in making this event successful. There is no other way to master a language except by practicing it every day, be it speaking, writing, reading, or listening. Most importantly, we must put a lot of effort to achieve it, InshaaAllah. With that note, In the name of God The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful, I hereby officiate the Language Month of SK Kota Warisan for the year 2021. Thank you and Assalamualaikum.
