The assessment will be issued week commencing 7th February 2022, then using information gathered in relation to your workshop sessions and extra-curricular work/career experiences/volunteering this academic year, you are asked to produce a six page analysis of your knowledge, skills and behaviours relevant for your future career with supporting evidence/appendices. This assessment requires the completion of an online portfolio, using Google Sites to store relevant information and documents. You must use this google site and keep it in the folder, so do not remove or copy the Google Site from this folder. The Google Folder must also be used to store any files that you link to in the google site. Any document produced and stored outside of the Google folder cannot be accessed and thus will not be marked. The aim of the portfolio is to review your employability status at the beginning of the module and to evaluate your work-based learning progress since then. Your google site should include a six page reflection on your professional development along with supporting appendices to evidence this development. This assignment is personal to you and should be written in the first person as a personal analysis rather than in a third person commentary style. Ensure to read examples of autoethnographic writing. The reflection introduction should introduce your academic and professional interests. The M22575 MSc Professional Development discussion should be a self-reflection/evaluation of your professional development, referencing specific examples of the knowledge, skills and behaviours you aimed to develop and how these might support your future career. Discuss any professional development that you experience from any source, not solely experiences in the module. You must use models of reflective practice and professional practice in objectively analysing yourself, your experiences and your development. In critically analysing your development you are required evidence your development using appendices, such as how you have updated your CV and covering letter after searching for a suitable job, discussing your suitability for the role and areas where you specifically meet the job description. You should summarise the account by concisely reviewing your discussion. Include relevant appendices to support your analysis of yourself. Additional relevant appendices to support your experiences/achievements should be included beyond those suggested. You are advised to register for, and make use of, the additional courses, workshops and volunteering opportunities that have been made available to you this year to help you to professionally develop and to successfully complete this module. Formatting and Submission Guidelines: The reflection must be no more than six pages (no -/+10% is allowed) and must be typed in the default word setting, ie. Calibri, font size 11, 1.5 line spacing, with 2.54 cm margins on all sides. The page limit does not include the reference list or the appendices. There is no need to submit any work to Turnitin for this assessment but you must complete your Google Site by 12 noon on 1st June 2022 when it will be locked down so ensure it is completed by then.
