OPEN ACCOUNTS
○ HIGH PRIORITY: Sezzle Credit Card is 5 months late which is rare to see.
Creditor’s typically charge off credit cards after not being paid for 120-days (4
months). This account currently has a negative affect on your score because
of the derogatory marks (late payments). These late payments will remain on
your credit report for as long as the account is open. If you wanted to have it
removed as well, you can try contacting the creditor and plead a case of
financial instability and they will be willing to close out your account, marking
it as a charge off.
○ For your auto loans, you have a few late payments as well. A trick for
removing late payments on open accounts would be to contact the original
creditor and again, plead a case of financial instability while offering to enroll
in autopay to ensure you don’t miss any payments going forward. (This may
not work for every late payment but there’s a chance it will work for 1 or 2 of
them)
○ Best advice I can give for your open accounts, maintain consistent timely
payments and pay off balances for accounts with late payments in order to
have us remove the account later on In the future!
●
CLOSED ACCOUNTS
○ HIGH PRIORITY
■ COLLECTIONS
● Please be aware that the collections serve a higher priority
when showing on credit reports because they put you at legal
liability. A collection is a debt that has been sold off by the
creditor to a debt collection agency. Debt collectors will pursue
you by any means necessary and attempt to have you settle a
percentage of the debt that you owe. If collections are
neglected, you run the risk of being summoned to court and
being legally required to pay the collection debt
○ (Keep in mind that if your collections account reaches
this level, you will also be responsible for paying on any
additional court/attorney fees. If you cannot pay the
total of these charges, the debt collection agency has
the legal right to garnish your wages)
○ Every account listed under “Closed Accounts” currently has a negative affect
on your credit score. The types of derogatory remarks on your account are as
follows:
■ LATE PAYMENT
■ CHARGE OFFS
■ COLLECTIONS
■ HARD INQUIRIES (Excessive)
○ In order to avoid tarnishing your relationship with creditors you currently work
with (open accounts), we only remove derogatory remarks from accounts that
are closed out.
