Salam and good day teachers and friends. My name is Aryan Luqman b. Syafiq. I’m from SK Rambah Pontian Johor. Today, I would love to share with you one of my favorite story books that I love to read every night. It is called Fables from around the world book 4. This book is edited by Suzee Leong and there are 27 exciting short stories gathered from around the worlds such as from Germany, India and many more in all its 89 pages. My favorite story from this book is a story from India called the judge and the thief. This story was about a man who got his money stolen by one of his housemates. So he reported it to the wise king. And this king teachers and friends, was a very smart and fair ruler. He devised a plan to catch the thief. The king gave all of the suspects a ‘magic stick’ of the same length. He said that only the thief’s stick will grow an inch over night and ask them to bring the sticks back the next day. The thief was frightened and finally he thought of a solution. He decided to cut his stick one inch shorter so that when it grows over the night, it will be the same length as everybody the next day. The next morning, when everyone gathered in front of the king, the length of their ‘magic sticks’ stay the same. Except for the thief’s, it was an inch shorter! It was then he realized that he was outsmarted by the king and was going to pay for his action. Well, wasn’t that interesting teachers and friends? It teaches us that we don’t always have to rely on our physical ability because sometimes we can use our brain power to even catch a thief. Because our brain is a weapon and we must use it properly. Another interesting facts about this book is that there are many fun activities included in it such as quizzes, jokes and even magic tricks! I hope you enjoyed my review of this book called fables from around the world book 4. You can get this book from your school library, local bookstore or buy it from internet. Well, that’s all. Thank you and bye bye.
