DOMINOTE
your guide to
routing
introduction
The Router ensures our products are delivered efficiently
and on time so that our customers get fresh, hot
products. Routers need to be able to think on their feet,
assess situations and make quick decisions to maximise
efficiency in store while ensuring they put the safety of
the Delivery Experts (drivers) first.

Ensure you have 1.5 bags in good condition for each
driver and that there are plenty of charged bags (if
applicable) before the rush starts
Ensure there are enough cool bags and carrier bags
for cold items
Do not add cold items to hot bags with food
Bag up the order ready in advance for the driver to
take straight back out
Make sure that the order is complete. This prevents
two trips, customers getting half of their order and
an embarrassing conversation at the customer’s
door!
Ensure Delivery Experts are wearing the correct
uniforms
Encourage Delivery Experts to hustle on their feet,
not on the street
Remind Delivery Experts to inform customers about

Mark the deliveries on the map so the driver can plan
their route quickly
Aim for a minimum of 80% of orders leaving as single
bag runs
Have extra floats available to provide change quickly
You must have expert knowledge of the delivery area
Router Goal – Turn around Delivery Experts within
one minute of entering the store, with their next
delivery
Double bag runs
Sometimes, due to the level of business, the orders may
have to go as doubles, two orders at the same time with
the same driver.
Double bag guidelines:
•
The oldest of the two orders must be closest to the
store
•
They should be a maximum 2 grids apart on the map
•
There should be a minimum of 6 minutes between
when the two orders were placed
•
They both should arrive in less than 30 minutes
•
You must always take the oldest delivery from the
top of the screen with one from further down the
screen to ensure that they both get delivered on time
•
If the second delivery is not ready then the driver
should leave with just the single
delivery
