The ABC Training Program
Introduction
Some conflict has arisen in the ABC Corporation due to the demand of local and foreign
customers to update new products on their electronic components for automobiles. Hence, it
is required to put employees on training to cope up with the changes in updates of
technology.
Meanwhile, the vice president for finance and the operation manager is against
the
recommendation of the HR Manager that three of the managers and eight supervisors be
sent to mother company in Japan for updates in technology on car electronics because on
the basis of cost-cutting and lack of personnel to handle the operations while they are away
for two months.
On the other hand, if the technicians from the mother company be invited to handle the
training in the Philippines, the cost of training would be doubled due to the higher paid
allowances and salaries that will be charged to the local company.
Background of the Study
The ABC Corporation has been seized in manufacturing electronic components for
automobile for the last four years. As times goes by, the local and foreign consumers has
been demanding for innovated products but in order to achieve the goals, training and
development of the employees to cope up with the changes must be held. Some confusion
has been added because the management does not carry mandatory plan when employing,
resulting to fail of operation of the company if the three of the managers and eight
supervisors be sent to mother company in Japan. Before hiring an employee, an applicant
must possess the knowledge needed for the future success of the company.
Meanwhile, even the training will cost the company too much, at the end of it
more
opportunities will be going on their way. Just like higher demand for the new updated
products, the local and foreign consumers will be more satisfied with the update of their
electronic components for automobiles. With the new knowledge earned in the training,
there is a possibility to innovate a new product that will paved more the success of the
company. But the growing market in automobile services will also expand the ongoing
competition and uniformity of products.
Alternative Solutions
AS1: Organize a methodical outlook based on the training needs.
AS2: Enforce a valid plan of action and go for a accurate approach for the training and
development.
AS3: Generate an analysis of training and forecast of budget approach.
AS4: Carry out a plan on employee analysis to be sent
to training.
AS5: Devise a scheme of training module to support the learner’s intake and retention of the
information it contains.
AS6: Exhibit a what, who, where, how, and when for training objectives.
Proposed Solutions
I have come up with the idea of using the first alternative solution and the third alternative
solution.
In order to organize a methodical outlook based on the training needs, we must:
1. Evaluation Stage - administer organizational scrutiny, task analysis, and individual
scanning to be perceive by the Human Resource Department..
2. Learning Circumstances - in order to apply their learning from the training the goal is to
create an environment that help them thrive.
3. Employees Preparedness for Training - management must direct them to learn in order
for them to apply skills in job properly. Self-perception; apprehension of the needs of training,
and fundamental skills as a constituent to inspire them.
4. Transferring Knowledge - skills they have learned from the training will be finally apply
on their job for a successful future of the company.
Generate an analysis of training and forecast of budget approach
1. Studying the training demand - includes the direct and indirect cost required to analyze,
design, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain courses and materials.
2. Determine the genuine preparation method - refers to a way or technique for improving
knowledge and skills of an employee for doing assigned jobs perfectly, one example is
hands-on training.
3. Estimate the training cost - the learning, deportment, and outcome must be assess
properly.
Recommendation
The ABC Corporation’s absence is in methodical outlook based on the training needs and
forecast of budget approach. Therefore it is very important to establish a structured
approach in needs, proper budget proposal, and training analysis. A systematic approach
will identify the most effective means of generating consistent and optimum results. It
promotes a better quality or work results and a high level of
productivity.
