SEMI-DATAILED LESSON PLAN Subject: EIM I. Objectives At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to: 1. Differentiate the two systems of measurements. 2. Convert the given unit of measurement into another unit of measurement 3. Appreciate the importance of converting unit of measurement. Subject Matter Concept : SELECT ELECTRICAL MEASURING TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTS Sub-Concept :Perform Mensuration and Calculation Materials : Power point presentation Reference : Module, Lesson 2 , Quarter 4 Week 3 Method : Discussion and Demonstration PROCEDURE: A. Preparation 1. Daily routine, prayer 2. Checking of attendance a. Reminder to accomplish the weekly tasks b. Review the past lesson c. Motivation B. Review the Past Lesson a. What are the last lesson that been tackled last week? b. What are the different types of receipt forms C. Presentation 1. Motivation Showing the different tools using for measuring and calculation and identify by its uses 2. Unlocking Difficulties ▪ Pull-push Rule - is a measuring tool used to measure the length of an object in centimeters and inches. ▪ Ammeter - is an instrument used to measure the amount of electrical current intensity in a circuit. The unit of measure is ampere (A). It is connected along or series to the circuit. ▪ Voltmeter - is an instrument used to measure electrical pressure or voltage of a circuit. The unit of measurement is volt (V). This is connected across or parallel to the circuit. ▪ Volt-Ohmmeter (VOM) - otherwise called as multi tester; is used to measure the voltage, resistance, and current of a circuit. It is connected in parallel or series with the circuit depending on what to measure. D. Lesson Proper a. 1. Introduction 1.1. Discuss what is SELECT ELECTRICAL MEASURING TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTS 1.2. Discuss the Value of Measuring Tools and Instruments used in Electricity. Reference: Module A. Generalization (Summarization of the Topic) - Electrical measuring tools and instruments are sensitive and delicate so extra care is necessary in handling them. These are used to measure currents, voltages, resistances, wattage's and other important elements in electrical works. This topic, will tackle the function/use of each measuring tool and instrument used in doing an electrical task. B. Application Provided with materials, let the students perform the SELECT ELECTRICAL MEASURING TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTS on their respective group. The Performance will be judge using the following Criteria. Performance Rubrics: CRITERIA 4 3 2 1 Participation All members actively participating. More than half of the members participate. At least half of the members participate. One or two members actively participate Explanation Excellent explanation Good explanation Fair explanation Poor explanation Teamwork Group members work together; roles clearly defined Group members mostly work together; roles clearly defined and follow for the most part Group members work as a team somewhat; roles not clearly defined Group members works individually; not as a team Legend: 1 – Poor (78 – below) 3 – Good (86 – 92) 2 – Fair (79 – 85) 4 – Excellent (93 – 100) C. Values Integration - Students will appreciate of how use the measuring tools in how to calculation in electricity A. Evaluation WRITTEN TASK 1 WEEK 3 QUARTER 4 Directions: Write True if the statement is correct and False if not. Write your answer on a separate sheet of paper. 1. Test light is a pocket -sized tool used to test the line wire or circuit if there is current in it. 2. Volt-Ohmmeter is also called multi-tester. 3. Ammeter is an instrument used to measure the amount of electrical current intensity in a circuit. 4. Voltmeter is a measuring tool used to measure the length of an object. 5. Pull-push rule is connected in parallel or series with the circuit depending on what to measure. PERFORMANCE TASK OF WEEK 3 QUARTER 4 Directions: Identify the word/s being described by the following statements. Write the answer in your notebook 1. It is a measuring tool used to measure the length of an object. 2. It is used in determining the size of wires/conductors. 3. It is an instrument used to measure the amount of electrical current intensity in a circuit. 4. It is an instrument used to measure current flowing in a conductor. 5. It is an instrument used to measure electrical pressure or voltage of a circuit. Assignment What I Know Directions: Determine the correct unit abbreviation of the following. Write your answer on a separate sheet of paper 1. Meter 4. Yard 2. Inch 5. Feet 3. Decameter Prepared by: FABROA, RYAN JAMES M. WFT-4A
