Directions: The goal of this assignment is to allow you to practice using Kami. Follow each of the steps below then submit this document using the Submit button on the top of the Kami tool. 1. Use the Text Box tool to write your name in the box. Pick a color that you think best represents you. 2. Use the Drawing tool to draw the United States flag. Draw it from your memory, don't Google it. 3. Use the Shapes tool to create an ancient civilizations building. Think back to 6th grade and make a building from your memory. 4. Let's practice using the highlighting and comment function in Kami. The text below is the Preamble or introduction to the US Constitution. STEP 1: Go into the Markup tool then select either the text or box highlighter and highlight the sentence, “In Order to form a more perfect Union”. STEP 2: Once you do that, use the Comment tool and click just above that sentence to leave a Text Comment. In your comment tell me what you think the phrase means. What does it mean to “form a more perfect Union”? We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. 5. Once you have practiced using these handful of tools, take a second to look at any of the others that catch your eye. Did you notice that Kami can read the text to you, or that you can erase any mistakes you might make with the eraser tool? Use the text box tool to tell me how Kami might help you at school this year. 6. Your final task is to submit this assignment. One great thing about Kami assignments is that they save into your Google Drive and submit the assignment with the click of a button. The image below shows the top of your screen.
