Republic of the Philippines NATIONAL POLICE COMMISSION PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE, POLICE REGIONAL OFFICE 10 ILIGAN CITY POLICE OFFICE ILIGAN CITY POLICE STATION 3 Sitio Tag-ibo, Dalipuga, Iligan City PROPOSED CSOP ACTION PLAN PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION DISCUSSION ISSUES & CONCERNS IDENTIFIED PROBLEMS PROPOSED SOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS Increasing Crime Volume and Insurgencies at Hinterland Barangays Murder, Frustrated Murder, Arson, Theft, Malicious Mischief and Rape Installation of CCTVs, Hot-spot policing, Mobilization of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT), Behavioral Intervention Programs and Organizing Support Group from the Community AREA OF FOCUS: Hinterland Barangays: Bonbonon, Mainit, Digkilaan, Rogongon, Panoroganann, Kalilangan, Dulag, Lanipao, Kabacsanan, Hindang and Bunawan, Iligan City PROJECT TITLE: SUPPORT INTELLIGENCE GROUP FOR HINTERLAND TASKS (SIGHT) OBJECTIVE: To provide community service oriented policing response to criminality and insurgencies in the eleven (11) barangays under the Iligan City Police Station 3’s Area of Responsibility (AOR), organized by Philippine National Police to help protect our the locality by serving as valuable conduits for sharing vital hinterland security information and countering insurgencies and/or domestic terrorism, to operationally arrest suspects, monitor listed and linked personalities and to heighten the capabilities of involved stakeholders in informing the community about illegal drug use/sell, fight drug crimes and related problems within the community. ACTIVITY Organizing the SIGHT project by utilizing the talents and skills of civilian volunteers from the local community as partners of the police, the LGUs and concerned government agencies in public safety. Conducting of pre-orientation, screening and training to the would-be volunteer. Monitoring and recognizing volunteer’s contribution to police service to be established by the station. Setting-up System Information Dissemination of the Project Implementation to the Public Online Reporting PERSON RESPONSIBLE TIMELINE BUDGET Chief of Police, ICPS3 Intelligence Operatives Section (S2) and Barangay Officials/Tribal Chiefs, BINS, BPATs, Peace and Order advocates November 2020 up to November 2021 Php 220, 000 (Php 5,000 each Barangay for Fuel, Snacks and Enticements) STATUS The project will be an emerging best practice of the station since this has been patterned with its previous CBSS (Community Based Support System) but lacked sustainable management. Aligning with the current thrust of the organization, the PNP PATROL Plan 2030, particularly on its strategic focus on Organizational Development which the PNP is principally guided by its mandate of solving more crimes and arrest more criminals. ICPS3 shall established the S.I.G.H.T project which seeks to strengthen a responsive and effective community people based on intelligence network providing necessary strategic intelligence requirements supportive to the statutory functions of the PNP. Like any other intelligence auxiliary, SIGHT has the ability and best access to a particular target personality which will result to more accomplishments which has a huge impact in improving crime prevention and solution efficiency in the area of responsibility.
