Action: natural thyroid medication
Indication: Hypothyroidism
Therapeutic Usage: PO:30-120mg/day Orally
Interaction: Phenytoin and fosphenytoin, antacids, calcium salts, iron, estrogen,
Warfarin: increase warfarin effect
Action:
It may enhance the activity of oral anticoagulants
Adverse Effects:
Usually the result of overdose
Cardiovascular, Tachycardia, palpations, angina, Dysthymias (w/ risk for life threatening),
Hypertension
Central nervous: Insomnia, tremors, headache, anxiety
GI: Nausea, diarrhea, cramps
Other: Menstrual irregularities, weight loss, sweating, heat intolerance, fever
