RESEARCH WRITING
Activity 1.2
1. In an outline form, discuss briefly the different values of research to man.
Scientific study has resulted in a better understanding of the world as a whole, and it has enabled
and facilitated a tremendous deal of progress. Some scientists conduct research for the purpose of
gaining financial benefit or gaining notoriety. Others conduct research out of a sense of obligation or
even a spiritual need to further knowledge.
Man's needs are met through research and all of the contemporary facilities that meet its needs are
the result of study. Technological advancements and all research items, including gadgets, tools, and
appliances, are widely available. This current technology has reduced the amount of time it takes for a
person to complete his or her everyday chores. A researcher is working to boost the export of food
items. The exportation of food goods has improved as a result of study. Students are taught to earn
while they learn by converting research findings into income-generating initiatives. Psychology tests
man's ability to break free from the perils of stasis.
A research-oriented teacher is continually looking for methods to improve and create better results. In
his instruction, the modern teacher incorporates innovations and the 3Rs (rational thinking, right
conduct and research). A research-oriented teacher is continually looking for methods to improve and
create better results. Man is a dreamer, ambitious, and hardworking in accomplishing his goals, the
quality of life has improved as a result of research.
2. Explain briefly in an outline form, 10 reasons why man’s major needs and problems demand research.
Every time a crisis takes place in conducting a study, and one may well have to sacrifice and
encounter the difficulties mainly because good results in the research can solve the major problems. But
just before one can understand, one has to learn, loves to get the job done with curiosity and execute
every research progress. It is because in-depth research requires analysis for contributing factors
progress. Research is sometimes to be concerned only with the bodily phenomena that males cannot do
away with these items mainly because the physical phenomena have domain adequately emphasized on
materials brings about and results. Man’s critical need to get and questions the researches involves life
problems. Like on how to decrease his focus of making the work done, how to lessen pain, and how to
raise satisfaction in fulfilling his wants, craving, and aspirations. For example, the discussion of “The
earth is flat” makes sense to all our physical senses. We feel no spin, so common sense proves the Earth
is flat and stationary. However, if you applied research, it is easy to see that it is not the case because
Earth is proven to be an irregularly shaped ellipsoid. Without research, there would be no way to solve
these problems because this requires an in-depth and critical analysis to find an effective solution and to
avoid possible risks in future phenomena.
3. Discuss briefly in an outline form, the qualities of a good researcher.
There are 20 qualities of a good researcher these are:

Respondents are pleasant to work with

The least amount of discouragement

Without Prejudice

Depth Information Capacity

Accuracy

Truthful

Astute observer

Pay attention when you are listening

Economical

Society's Disapprovals are not taken seriously

Excellent

Having a Terminology that is Easy to Understand

Instructed on the use of research tools.

Dress and act in the same manner as the locals

Analytical in nature

Equality and justice are two words that come to mind
4. How do you characterize a good research?
It should produce reliable and ethical evidence. An excellent study must be based on a plausible study
design and revolve around a fresh question. It must make a major contribution to scientific progress by
answering an unresolved question or resolving a real-world problem or challenge. It should involve
systematic planning and the establishment of time-based, realistic objectives are essential components
of excellent research. It includes feasible research approaches based on a research methodology that is
most appropriate for the nature of your research issue. It's based on enough relevant data and is
repeatable and replicable. Furthermore, in conducting, reporting, and publishing high-quality research,
all relevant ethical norms must be followed. A good research project benefits all of society's
stakeholders and contributes to humanity's overall development.
5. What are the purpose and goals of research?
Common purposes of research are exploration, description, explanation and to enhance society by
advancing knowledge through the development of scientific theories, concepts and ideas.
The goal of the research process is to produce new knowledge or deepen understanding of a topic or
issue.
