1. What are the ethical issues in communicating involving the use of online platform? You can
discuss two or three issues.
According to a study by Ethics in Digital Communication Fairness, Responsibility and
Transparency are the ones that should be treated carefully in the ethics in communication
involving online platform. These 3 surely for me are mostly violated ethics in online
communication. Fairness has given consumers or people in the internet too much power to give
their opinion in social media. These creates online backlash as most people online are strong to
use words or attacking comments or message because they cannot do it in real life.
The responsibility in social media has gone irresponsible. I have watched too many article
that has been posted in social media that contains confusion. I was also been a victim to this
because I did believe some post are real but didn’t really research carefully. Social media has
become a thing that transport false information this past few years. Most involves politics,
people’s opinion about themselves, scandals and lastly a person’s sexuality. The transparency
also is an issue for this because some online companies are scammers. You can read some
information and reviews and it is actually believable, but it is just to make you believe they are
credible. In the opposite hand there are a lot of companies that are true to themselves. These
companies plays with an open hand and takes their true identity to the public so that it is
credible.
2. How can those issues be resolved? As a user of these online platform I practiced not believing
quickly with those information and instead tend to avoid online articles. I just searched for
memes and just make myself happy in everyday because these online things are not important
in life. The most important thing in life is that you make memories and that is what these people
cannot do. They just drown themselves in social media everyday and thinks that their opinion
are the most incredible thing in the world. For you just think before you post and think before
you share In order to avoid misinformation.
