When you were reviewing the performance of the salespeople, you’ve noticed that some of them had easily achieved their sales quotas because the sales potentials of their territories were high, while others in low potential areas experienced the opposite. The company board of directors are opting to reduce the incentives or commission to sales representatives working on high potential areas while maintaining the standard for the low potential areas. As a regional marketing and sales manager, what suggestions would you make to your company head? Would you adhere to their proposal? No, I would not adhere to their proposal in reducing the incentives/commissions of representatives working on high potential areas while maintaining the standard for the low potential areas. I would suggest that the company have a standardized system of incentives towards all representatives in order to create equality. I would also suggest creating a range and cap of possible incentives/commission that they are able to get.
