How deaf and hard-of-hearing people are being misrepresented within the theatre communities. When looking at theatre communities like theatre nationality or locally, their mission is not going over enough representation in the production they have in-house. I am using this chapter by Marianne DiQuattro to inform that hard of hearing and deaf people are able to perform as well as other actors and using this page by Michael Richardson to talk about different examples that theaters and directors can use to improve representation in their production. I’m using this chapter by Kanta Kochhar-Lindgren to dispel that disability are able to be seen or notice on a day to day life. I’m going to create an essay that will be able to create a new way of life to improve the representation of the hard of hearing and deaf communities.
