The instruction in the tasks takes place by means of the successful completion of the Practical Logbook MM1/ CAT A MCM for the applicable combination of aircraft type and engine, or, in the case of CA or IFE, the Practical Logbooks MM1/ CAT A MCM CA or IFE. The content of these Practical Logbooks is defined by the type-specific task from the MM1/ CAT A MCM Task List. Detailed instructions on working through each Practical Logbook are given in the applicable Practical Logbook. The type-specific Practical Logbooks can be activated for individual members of staff by the responsible Training Coordinator in each case. (Prolog, Practical Logbooks (LHT).) Task: Definition of the individual Task Codes in the ATA chapters: o LOC Location o FOT Functional / Operational Test o SGH Servicing and Ground Handling o R/I Removal / Installation o MEL Minimum Equipment List o TVC Thorough Visual Check Responsible for content: LHT / T/FS-QA / A. Henke Page 3 of 30 There is no revision service for documents printed from IQ MOVE IQ MOVE Document No.: 37423 Ausgabe Nr. 3 05.06.2019 MM1 / CAT A MCM Task List Nature: Basis of the definition of the individual Simple Tasks (pure instruction, typical task, additional task). o Instruct: These tasks are used in training, as the trainee works through the MM1 Practical Logbook. When the training is successfully completed, the MM1 and CAT A MCM are permitted to perform these tasks. The tasks appear in combination with another task (i.e. Removal/Installation), and are regarded as underlying basic tasks. The instruct Tasks can be released by the CAT A MCM by observing and checking point 1.2 in this document. o a – q: Typical task which EASA has already classified as a "Simple Task". These typical tasks apply to every aircraft type / engine combination. Tasks a to q must be trained type-specifically (per aircraft type / engine combination) for all MM1/ CAT A MCM authorizations. Exception: engine extension For an engine extension (e.g. A319, A320, A321 CFM 56 extension to A319, A320, A321 V2500), the authorized person must be retrained in the engine-related tasks only. For this purpose, MM1/ CAT A MCM "Engine Extension" Practical Logbooks are provided. Their content is type-specific with engine-related content. o p & r: These „Additional Tasks“ have been incorporated in the aircraft type / engine specific MM1/ CAT A MCM Task List after approval by the German Aviation Authority (LBA). The Additional Tasks must be trained type-specifically for all MM1/ CAT A MCM authorizations. Additional Tasks cannot automatically be transferred to other aircraft type / engine-specific MM1/ CAT A MCM Task Lists. Instead, they are always approved by the LBA for specific types only. CRS: This task can be released to service by a CAT A MCM after performing the maintenance himself or herself. Responsible for content: LHT / T/FS-QA / A. Aircraft type, e.g. A319/A320/A321 (V2500): (x) means that the Simple Task is available for this aircraft. Typical "Simple Task" according to EASA AMC 145.A.30 The typical Simple Tasks for MM1/ CAT A MCM are listed according to EASA AMC 145.A.30 (g) Personnel requirements under 1.4 – 1.6: These tasks may be performed and signed for after completion of type-specific task training, with the maintenance authorization MM1, during the processing of minor scheduled line maintenance (Weekly Check = S-Check) and simple defect rectification, and the tasks can be released with the applicable CAT A MCM release-to-service authorization. This means that the MM1 or CAT A MCM authorization must be used as follows: The MM1 authorization permits the performance and sign off of maintenance for Simple Tasks or minor scheduled line maintenance performed by the authorized person. The CAT A MCM authorization permits the issue of a CRS (Certificate of Release to Service) only for MM1 maintenance tasks performed by the authorized person. Excluding Safety Critical Items & Independent Inspections acc DOC.20615. The authorization permits the authorized person to release an aircraft to service after "minor scheduled line maintenance" (up to and including "Weekly Check / S-Check"), taking into account the CRS scope according to MM1/ CAT A MCM Task List DOC.37423. EASA has specified that the following tasks are typical "Simple Tasks": Note: In the type-specific Practical Logbook MM1/ CAT A MCM Task List, the "typical tasks" are listed with the same reference letters (e.g. (a) Replacement of wheel…) as in the regulations. The type-specific MM1/ CAT A MCM Task List contains all "Simple Tasks" (i.e. all tasks approved as Simple Tasks by EASA) for the applicable aircraft type. a. Replacement of wheel assemblies. b. Replacement of wheel brake units. c. Replacement of emergency equipment. d. Replacement of oven, boilers and beverage makers. e. Replacement of internal and external lights, filaments and flash tubes. f. Replacement of windscreen wiper blades. g. Replacement of passenger and cabin crew seats, seat belt and harness. h.
