Conserving Heat • Improve the efficiency of the energy used to heat your home by – using solar energy (energy from the sun’s rays) – keeping heat turned off until needed – leaving thermostat settings lower in winter and wearing layered clothing – lowering the thermostat 5 to 8 degrees when continued away from home © Goodheart-Willcox Co., Inc.
