1 Methods of Identification
1.1 Identifying the Phone Model
This announcement is prepared to guide all ASC personnel to identify the phone model without
disassembling the phone.
1.1.1 Identifying the External Model Code on the Rear Cover
Each handset's model code is printed at the bottom of the rear cover, Just directed at the Dura series
products，the eight external models are as follows: DUA-L22，DUA-LX3，DUA-AL00，DRA-L21，
DRA-L01，DRA-LX2， DRA-LX3，DRA-L32；The models are corresponded to the handset configuration,
as shown in Table 1.
External models and corresponding configurations are described in the following Table 1.

1.1.2 Identifying Single/Dual-SIM Editions Using the Laser-Engraved Card

1.2 Identifying PCBAs
1.2.1 Operation Requirement
There are many types of PCBs and PCBAs for Dura models. In service processes such as spare board
turnover, maintenance, rework, and test, comply with the following instructions to perform the operations
and do not mix up the boards.
1.
To apply for and return the service spare boards, each ASC must perform the operations based on the
actual board and the correct code.
2.
Each DC must check that the codes of the faulty spare boards are consistent with the actual boards. If
any inconsistency is found, return the boards to the previous operator. Classify and store the boards in
the warehouse strictly in accordance with the codes.
3.
Make sure that the code of the target spare board is consistent with that of the faulty board specified in
the released task order.
4.
Each HLRC must check that the code of the faulty board specified in the task order is consistent with
the actual board. If not, report and modify the task order. If the PCB SN needs to be changed, the third
to sixth digits of the PCB SN must be consistent with those of the original one.

Due to the different PCBAs used by spare boards, the SMT components of spare boards with the same
code may vary, which is normal. Make sure that the SMT components of the same type of PCBA are
consistent with each other.
1.2.2 Identifying the PCBA by Silkscreen
Each PCBA has a silkscreen, Use the silkscreen to identify whether the PCBA is the edition for China or
the edition for regions outside China. The silkscreen for the Dura series are as shown in the edge of PCBA.
Meanwhile，we could judge the PCBA info by checking status of the PCBA，detailed method is as below：
Check the 2D barcode of PCBA:According to check the laser info of PCBA 2D barcode and then contrast
with “table 1”
，we will get the storage info of corresponding product。

1.2.3 Differing the phone version in China & Overseas
By checking mappings of the PCBA silkscreen & spare board code，and then compared with the Table 1 as
above.

3 FAQs
3.1 After replacement service board and upgrade to new firmware via
SD Card or HOTA, the SIM card not recognized
3.1.1 Issue Description
After replacing the mainboard and upgrade to new software version by SD Card or HOTA, the phone
can't recognize SIM card and the IMEI is 0 or NULL.
This issue could be recognized by following Picture. Picture 1, check the all IMEIs is 0; Picture 2, the
Baseband Version display "Unknown"; Picture 3, SIM card not recognized.

3.1.2 Issue Analysis:
The configuration files of some of the service mainboard are abnormal, resulting the configuration
file can't been read after booting.
3.1.3 Issue Solution
Will provide an SD card repair packet to force update the configuration file of the faulty machine.
Fix Steps
1. Upgrade the SD card repair packet directly on the faulty machine.
Note: Each model and area needs to use the corresponding SD card repair packet.

2. After the upgrade is successful, continue to upgrade to the official version with the SD card.
Note: SD card upgrade office version will erase the user data, please backup user data
before the upgrade.
Take Russia as an example:
(1) Download “Asian&Australia&LatinAmerica&European(C999)” repair packet and copy
dload/UPDATE.APP in C999 folder to /dload path in SD card.
(2) Enter "*#*#2846579#*#*" in dial panel and display “ProjectMenu”, next select “Software
Upgrade”——“SD Upgrade”——”OK“ to upgrade to repair packet. After upgrade completely, smartphone
will auto power on and repair successful.
3.After successful fixed，upgrade to office version by SD card.
