Globalization
Assignment 2
Now-a-days, because of human unwanted activities, world have to face many
problems as well as environmental issues that directly or indirectly affect the
environment as well as the eco-system such as because of excessive use of fuels,
greenhouse gases, deforestation, industrial activities as well as agricultural
activities etc. all are the root cause of environmental issue that is global warming (
contemporary global issue) and this is not just a one country issue, it belongs to
whole global that means it is a global issue. My upcoming essay will indicate what
make it to become a global concern, what international community did to address
this issue as well as discuss some strategies and steps taken by them to rectify this
concern.
Independent teams of scientists did the research and from the measurement of
their research they came to know that our planet is warming and there are many
reasons behind why it is getting warm day-by- day. They conducted research by
using weather stations on land, on ship and by satellite. From their reading, it was
quite observed that it’s a global issue. This problem directly or indirectly affects
humans. Its poses a great impact on humans lives as because of this they become
victims of respiratory diseases, lungs problems, infectious diseases. (Gerretsen,
2019) It is proved by European Academies’ Science Advisory Council (EASAC) that
extreme heat and temperature on the earth increases the chances of humans to
suffer from infectious diseases. The reason behind why this issue is emerging at a
rapid rate is all because of human activities. The term that we used to describe
the situation that is earth is getting warm day by day at alarming rate is called
greenhouse effect. The usage of fossil fuels and other natural resources, releases
green house gases namely, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and water
vapors etc. makes the earth atmosphere warm as these gases trap the heat in it.
(What is climate change? A really simple guide, n.d.)Beside this, other human
activities such as industrial; activities, agricultural activities directly or indirectly
contribute towards making the earth warmer. So, this problem requires both
global coordination as well as cooperation to rectify this problem as without
cooperation and coordination, they will rectify the problem to some extend but
will not solve it completely as it will only get solved when its root causes are
solved.
To address this issue, many strategies were used by scientists to completely
understand its origin as well as methods to solve this problem. They Independent
teams of scientists did the research and from the measurement of their research
they came to know that our planet is warming and there are many reasons behind
why it is getting warm day-by- day. They conducted research by using weather
stations on land, on ship and by satellite. (Climate change: How do we know it is
happening and caused by humans?, n.d.) To rectify this problem, scientists also
did some experiment such as and concluded that this problem can be rectified
when the following actions will be taken that are namely, using renewable
resources as possible as and limiting the usage of fossil fuels that produces gases
that traps heat it and warms earth. The solution to remove greenhouse gases that
are present in the atmosphere should be taken. (Rincon, n.d.) Beside this, planting
more and more trees will help to solve the problem of getting heated. The
scientists from ETH-Zurich in Switzerland used a method called
photointerpretation to examine the effect on the atmosphere when more and
more trees are planted, and he concluded that planting trees as an effective
solution to solve the global warming problem, but this requires both global
coordination as well as cooperation. (McGrath, 2019)
To conclude, Global warming is a contemporary global issue not only one country
concern , it’s a global concern that need to be rectified within time as it is leaving
devastating effect on the lives of people as well as on the planet itself as it is
making the atmosphere more warmer that become the root cause for the
infectious diseases, respiratory diseases among humans and they know directly or
indirectly they are the reason behind the emergence as well as spread of this
issue on the planet. As this problem is a global concern so this requires both
global coordination as well as cooperation to limit its spread and to eliminate this
problem from the planet.
