In addition to her sanitation services, she also sales and delivers charcoal to those homes. Characteristic of the Product and Services We Care is engaged in a door-to-door waste collection service. Their services target five hundred houses with in Central Monrovia. To reach out to their customers, they used two trucks, have seven staff and an office space. In addition to their sanitation services, they have wood cutting machine that help them to produce charcoals. They used their sanitation customers as customers for their charcoals. In the near future, We-Care will augment their number of tricks by two more. With just two trucks, We-Care ability to reach out to more customers have limited their ability to explore the opportunities in the waste collection sector. By acquiring more trucks and augmenting their staffs, We-Care will be able to expand their market beyond the current boundary; thus, increasing revenue growth projections. Characteristics of The Market The sanitation marketplace is a virgin space that would birth-out substantial profit. The estimated population of Central Monrovia, is about 1.3million—many of whom are mostly low-to middle income people. There are about 10,000 homes. Most of the residents of these homes are families of three or more. The average income for a family in the area is $2,000/yearly. The average generation rate of waste is about 780/tones/day (United \Nations Environment Programme, 2007, p.6). Despite this huge production of waste, there are very few companies that are in the waste collection sector. Each of these homes use charcoal for domestic purposes (i.e., cooking, washing, and bathing). So, it will be an attractive endeavour to get in the charcoal market. For this market, other competitors don’t do home delivery; therefore, doing home delivery while collecting the garbage will be a competitive advantage for We-Care. Staff Competency We-Care Inc. sanitation services and charcoals distributions will not need huge squad to implement their services and charcoals distributions; however, a vibrant and proactive work force will be needed.
