2022 – OUR YEAR OF REFOCUSING SCRIPTURE: GALATIANS 5: 7 -9 - Every given year people do start well fully focused but somewhere in between the year people lose focus. - It is my prayer for all our pastors, all leaders and all the members in the Bride of Christ Chapel to refocus and remain focused in the year 2022 - When we are focused everything in our lives, family and ministry will flow well without struggle - May we receive the grace to remain focused throughout the year - New year, new job, new business, new vision, new relationship needs to focus to the very end Galatians 5: 7 -9 You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. - Like any other men of God the apostle Paul knew that this church had lost focus Galatians 5:9 – Something little caused them to lose focus - There are little things which come in between as we continue with our vision, relationships, jobs, businesses etc. - You will be faced with some hinderances but you will overcome in Jesus name FIVE HINDERANCES OF FOCUS 1. DISTRACTION - This is when other things become a priority in our lives - Please don’t change the sense of your priority this year just move on. - Don’t let anything come in between - Remain focused Check the two things you spend your time and money . That is where your priority is. - Don’t let friend or events distract you in the year 2022 2. DISORDER - This is when we lack discipline - This is when we fail to align our lives properly - This is when we live a scattered life In between the year we collect a lot of things which cause us to lose focus This year don’t carry the things you don’t need Please drop them and move forward 3. DEALS - This is when things don’t happen quickly - Many people want quick breakthroughs - Some people cannot wait for the process to be completed - We must remain focused What did Abraham do when Isaac dealed You need to know that when there is a deal you can still move on Deal is an enemy of focus 4. DISCOURAGEMENT - Thisd is when we suffer setbacks in our lives - This is when things go wrong in our lives - Many a time we don’t plan for setbacks we think that everything will just flow without problem - You can do your best but still suffer setbacks It is always good to check what has worked in our lives rather than check what has failed to work in our lives Learn to fight the spirit of discouragement in our lives everyday Discouragement is an enemy of focus 5. DOUBT / UNBELIEF - This causes people to belittle themselves - The children of Israel suffered this in their days - May we overcome doubt & unbelief in our lives 2022 we will keep on believing in our God - In January we must start well - In January we must start focused - Let us start the year focused - Let us align our lives with God’s will - Train your mind to focus Mark 8: 22 – 25 – We need eye check - He had vision problem - This is also focus problem - He depended on other people to lead him This year don’t just be lead by people in doing thing. Have your own vision - Make your own decision - Don’t do things because people are doing - Stick to your vision Don’t be lead by other people Live with a clear sense of focus 2. The blind man had no focused vision - This is why he said he could see people walking like trees - This was the problem of King Saul when they couldn’t fight Goliath for 40 days - David has focused eyes and that was the reason why he killed Goliath Somethings which will come our way are not problems but are for our promotion God will bring problems to lift us - What do you see? - What do you see when hell stands against you? 3. The third thing that the man saw was a clear vision meaning that he was focused. - Jesus helped him to focus - This is when we see things the way they should be - This is when we move on with life while being focused. - This is when we move on with life with a sense of clarity This year we must receive good things because we will remain focused. Hebrews 12; 1 – 2 - Don’t carry any weight this year which may cause you to fail - When you are running with focus don’t carry any burden. - Every weight will slow you down. - For some people, too many commitments will slow you down. - Make sure every day you are doing something productive. - Funerals, weddings, parties, journey are weights that can slow you down. - We must run our race set before us with endurance. It is my prayer that we will remain focused the year 2022 When we remain focused 2022 we will see the productivity You must commit yourself to the one thing that is important to you this year Philipians 3: 12 – 14 1. What do you want to do this year? 2. What is your one thing that you want to do? Pray about it everyday Commit yourself to it everyday
