The Laws of Robotics are a list of rules that robots must adhere to. These rules are based on Isaac Asimov's science fiction. "I, Robot" is one of Isaac Asimov's novels, and it is also one of his most wellknown works. The fictional robots in these novels are programmed to follow the Three Laws of Robotics. These laws are listed according to their importance. The robot must follow these law in order. The first and most important rule is that a robot may not harm a human or allow human to come harm. Robots in the story were programmed not to harm or kill people. They must also not allow a human to get hurt, which means that the robots in the story must go to great lengths to protect human life. In the novel, the second law of robots is that they must obey human orders, but only if it is in line with the First Law. If a human told them to kill someone or hurt someone it should not follow because of the First law. Any kind of order are accepted except when the order conflict with the first law. A robot must protect its own existence under the third law of robotics, as long as it does not conflict with the first and second laws. In the event that an accident occurs, the robots must preserve themselves. The third law must also be in compliance with the first and second laws, for example, if a human orders a robot to save humans from a fire, the robot will do so even if it means sacrificing its own. The robots will follow and behave in accordance with the higher law. Isaac Asinov later created another law which is higher to the three law of robotics and called the zeroth law. The zeroth law is the most important of all the law and it is similar to the first law, the difference is that it pertains to humanity. It state there that a robot may not harm humanity or allow humanity to come to harm. The robots primary goals it to not hurt humanity and always consider the safety of humanity.
