Cabaguio Avenue, Davao City INTEGRATED BASIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT Senior High School March 6, 2018 Mrs. Fe Q. Emuy, MAEd IBED Principal Assumption College of Davao JP Cabaguio Ave., Davao City Dear Ma’am: We, the selected students of Grade 11 Salome, would like to conduct a research about the satisfaction level of the students who were satisfied with the culmination program of the Grade 12 students. Due to this, we would like to ask permission from you that we may conduct a research of the selected Grade 11 STEM students from the sections Keziah, Lydia, and Micah. We will ensure you that we will not disturb their classes while conducting an evaluation. We hope that you will grant our request. Respectfully yours, Banluta, Justine Fernandez, Daryl Jandog, Chinie Laurente, Jane Lopez, Armel Sumabong, Almie Tuble, Renz Noted by: ROY JEFFREY ZARTIGA Subject Teacher Signed by: DELIA M. CARASCAL, MATM Assistant Principal FE Q. EMUY, MAEd Principal ABSTRACT The purpose of this survey is to know how the students in grade 11 STEM will rate the culmination program of the grade 12 students. Including their presentations and on how the program happened. This survey will provide the reactions of the students that joined the Culmination Program conducted by the grade 12 students. This also let the students tell whether they are satisfied or not. This survey also shows on what part of the program did the grade 11 students lacked response. This includes the number of students who gave them a high level for the program. This will help the future grade 12 students to have an idea on what to do if they will be the one to conduct a program next year. The Surveyors gathered a survey from the grade 11 STEM students that found out that the total mean scores of every indicators has a high value that interprets a high satisfaction level. In having the results and findings of the survey surveyors used statistical framework, frequency distribution of respondents, and methods used for data gathering and data analysis .From the survey made it can concludes that the event Culmination Day of grade 12 students have done a good presentation that satisfied most of the grade 11 students. The program management presented a good presentation about the Culmination Day that brings satisfaction to every students especially grade 11 STEM students. Event organizers did a good plan, organized the program and just done a great work. METHOD This chapter introduces the Statistical Framework, Frequency Distribution of Respondents, Research instruments, methods used for data gathering and data analysis which are utilized for our study entitled “The Level of Satisfaction of Grade 11 STEM Strand Students in Culmination Day of the Assumption College of Davao”. STATISTICAL FRAMEWORK Tool to gather -Researcher mean -Questionnaire Techniques to analyze data Output of the Study -Frequency Distribution To determine whether the event organizer were going to improve or not the event. -Weighted mean -Standard deviation To make the next culmination day well organize and successful. RESPONDENTS The qualified respondents for this study will be from the grade 11 senior high school Stem students of the Assumption College of Davao. There are 3 Stem sections in Grade 11 were as 48 students in section Keziah, 46 in Lydia, and 44 in Micah, with the total of 138 students and its sample size is 103 respondents. The sampling technique we used is Purposive Sampling that is a nonprobability sample that is selected based on characteristic of a population and the objective of the study and also known as judgemental, selective or subjective sampling. FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION OF RESSPONDENTS COMPUTTATION FOR THE SAMPLE SIZE Data collection The researchers observed the following steps in conducting the study: A letter of permission was submitted to the principal of the Senior High School to ask permission for the day class STEM students to answer the questionnaire. The approved letter was shown to the selected cooperating teachers. Upon approval of the letter, the questionnaire was administered to the respondents in the STEM students. The researchers personally retrieved the questionnaires that had been administered to the randomly selected students. The gathered data through the questionnaires were collated, tallied, analysed, and interpreted base on the purpose of the study. Data Analysis The following were statistical tools used for the data treatment: Frequency Distribution is used to determine the number of respondents, percentage, and the sample size that involves in the study. Weighted mean this was used to describe the level of satisfaction of the students. Standard Deviation is used to indicate the extent of deviation for a group of students as a whole. Research Instrument In order for the researchers to gather data which will be utilized for the study, the researchers design a survey questionnaire. Different observation from the Culmination Day to craft this questionnaire. It requires the researchers to have more observation from the event for the researchers to construct such survey questionnaire that will be utilized for data gathering. Level 4.50 – 5.00 3.50 – 4.49 Descriptive Rating Very High Descriptions Interpretation This means that the level of satisfaction of grade 11 STEM strand students in Culmination Day are very satisfied. High This means that the level of satisfaction of grade 11 STEM strand students in Culmination Day are somehow satisfied Moderate This means that the level of satisfaction of grade 11 STEM strand students in Culmination Day are satisfied. . 2.50 – 3.39 1.50 – 2.49 Low 1.00 – 1.49 Very Low This means that the level of satisfaction of grade 11 STEM strand students in Culmination Day are not satisfied. This means that the level of satisfaction of grade 11 STEM strand students are very not satisfied. Level of Satisfaction of grade 11 STEM students The summary on the satisfaction of grade 11 STEM students was figured out in this study based on their responses of the research tool. Table 1. Satisfaction level of grade 11 STEM students INDICATOR MEAN SD DESCRIPTIVE EQUIVALENT Program’s Objectives 3.56 Planning & Preparation 4.53 Program Proper 3.97 0.99 Technicalities 3.89 0.99 High Cleanliness 3.79 1.05 High 0.79 0.77 Overall Impression 3.93 1.10 TOTAL 3.95 0.14 High Very High High High High As indicated in table 1 is the satisfaction level of grade 11 STEM students. Specifically, it shows that the second indicator, the planning & preparation of the program gained the highest mean score of 4.53 which interpreted as very high. The other indicators got the mean scores with 3.56 program’s objectives, 3.97 program proper, 3.89 technicalities, 3.97 cleanliness, and 3.93 overall impression which also interpreted as high. It could be noted from the data that indicators of this variable which is program’s objective, planning & preparation, technicalities, cleanliness and overall impression earned with overall mean score of 3.95 or qualitatively interpreted as high. This means that the level of satisfaction of grade 11 STEM strand students in Culmination Day are somehow satisfied. The standard deviation of every indicators that are 0.79 project objectives, 0.77 planning & preparation, 0.99 program proper, 0.99 technicalities, 1.05 cleanliness, overall impression 1.10 has a total of 0.14 and it indicates that the responses among the respondents of the study are not really that consistent.
