I asked this student what he did differently on his third attempt:



I made an effort to organise my knowledge
I would do all the questions (example documents, tutorials and
assignments) in one topic, and then take a back seat to
examine my own answers as well as the ones you
provided. I realised that there would always be an
underlying "core" way to answer certain questions
After having found the "core", I took notes of it, and
then redid the questions once again. I found that I
forgot less information and spent less time searching
for an answer in my mind during the exam because I
was now doing the questions with a core method in my
mind.
