TIME FRAME This is a contextualized material to be adapted and implemented to address the learning gaps on learners in Grade 9 who are lagging behind as found in the Least Mastered Skills report it is intended to take implementations at the end of the second quarter of the first semester for school year 2021-2022. IV. TARGET BENEFICIARIES A list of identified least/most mastered skills based on the frequency of errors correct responses from the Grade 9 Subject Areas showed the learning gaps on the particular competency. With this, the teachers wish to address this learning gaps by implementing intervention/remediation to identified Grade 9 Learners. V. RATIONALE Modular distance learning is the adapted mode of teaching in Baras Pinugay Phase 2 National High School which is applicable in the current situation. MDL is also the mode teaching that best suited the learners due to no internet connectivity, limited gadgets that can be use by the learner and scarcity of available materials at home and guidance made it difficult for the learners to achieved necessary skills are some of the reasons. These are some of the possible reasons for the identified learning gaps as per reported in the list of most identified/least mastered skills based on the frequency of errors correct responses in the Second Grading LMS results. There is an apparent need for the learners to master the skills by giving them tasks that they can easily grasps but will not suffer the learning competencies required by the Department of Education. Thus, the Grade 9 teachers came up with the idea of the used of Strategic Intervention Material, Enrichment Activities and Remedial Intervention to resolve the issue. VI. OBJECTIVES The objective of implementing the Remedial Intervention using SIM and Enrichment Activity is to address students’ learning gaps as per the list of identified least mastered/most mastered skills in the frequency of errors/ correct responses. VII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This Intervention Program/ Remedial Intervention for Grade 9 students aims to address the learning gap on identified learners in Grade 9. These learners failed to gain mastery on the specific competency because of the lack of mastery. In this manner, the teacher intends to reach out to these students through project AKAP and perform tutoring or limited face to face interactions to be able to make sure that the learners will eventually gain mastery of the said competency. The intervention material, together with the contextualized materials provided by the teachers will be presented to students through home visitations. The teachers will also encourage parents to allow to students to come to school in a limited basis and following prescribed safety protocols for limited face to face remedial classes. VIII.
