Regulations and Rules of Conduct
1. The attendance policy of the university should be followed at all costs, i.e., only 20% of the total
lecture count may be condoned for genuine reasons. The instructor will strike a student off the
course because of short attendance. Do not attempt to ask for leeway (flexibility) in the last
days of the semester.
2. Be on time for class. The buffering time is 7 minutes, no more (applicable from lecture#2).
3. No leaving the class early for any reason. No disturbances changing seats, coming in and out etc.
4. No cell phone usage allowed in the class. The instructor might confiscate it, if found. The best
way is to switch them off and put them upside down on the desk to avoid any ambiguity.
5. Over-talking and cross talking not allowed.
6. The grading is in absolute terms, out of a total of 100 points.
7. Plagiarism shall have dire (terrible) consequences. The student be rewarded with a zero in the
assignment/project when being caught the first time. The case would be forwarded to the
Disciplinary Committee if it happens for the second time.
8. Bring a pen and a notebook/notepad in every class (no loose sheets).
9. Murmuring (whispering), hissing, squealing, squeaking, screeching, humming and similar noises
aren’t acceptable.
10. No excuses or apologetic statements will be catered (in every case like report submission,
11. Mind your own business, avoid playing the blame-game on any other student. There’s a fine line
between having fun and violating rules of conduct, know it.
12. Take responsibility for your actions. Refrain from playing victim.
13. Don’t try to impress or scare the instructor with any big words or formal authorities. No
exception in the rules in any case.
14. Do not try to mention it to the instructor when the class time is over. The instructor will leave
when he deems appropriate.
Assignment Submission:
Submission is strictly to be done on the due date, prior to the lecture. Submission during or after the
lecture; or through email is strictly prohibited.
The whole section will follow a single cover page provided by the CR.
Turning (Rotating, spinning) in anyone else’s assignment is not allowed. Both the pupils would get
penalized in the case.
