DEFENSE OF HABITATION LAWS
3 different types of defense of habitation laws:
Broadest – Deadly force may be used to prevent
any invasion of the home
Most common – Deadly force may be used if there
is reason to believe the intruder will commit a
felony in the home
Narrowest – Deadly force may be used there is
reason to believe the intruder will be a threat
to the safety of any occupant of the home
