With the recent drop in the temperatures and diverse strategies of keeping warm, I researched the varieties of clothing, gloves and even footwears and found out that a lot of brands have warm clothing with heating options available. The heated apparels are supplied with batteries, which store energy when charged, and subsequently used to power the element in the heated apparel. In other words, electric energy is converted to heat energy through this means. I was wondering if there could be a device like the bicycle generators/dynamo which converts kinetic energy of the cogwheels into electrical energy to power the bicycle light. This device will be particularly useful if placed in shoes, thereby the kinetic energy derived from the impact of the shoes and the floor when walking will be converted to electrical energy. This will then be used to charge the batteries and will subsequently be used to power the heating panels in clothes, socks, and gloves.
