Safety Plan-Wylie intermodal Phase1A Safety Director: Earl Andersen EAS Contracting LP 6013 CR437 Princeton, Texas 75407 EAS requires every employee to wear appropriate PPE, which includes hard hats, safety glasses, leather work boots, leather gloves, and any other PPE that may be required for special tasks. EAS has a Drug and other prohibited items policy, which includes preemployment, random, and post accident/incident drug and alcohol screening. We will insure that all employees attend the project safety orientation as well as our company safety orientation. The designated safety representative will be our Superintendent. The designated competent person for this project will be our Superintendent. We will furnish the names of our trained equipment operators and the equipment they are trained on when they are sent to the project, as applicable. We will conduct weekly toolbox safety meeting for all employees. EAS employees will follow KCS MW General Orders and daily briefing at all times. Site Inspections will be done on a regular basis and documented. Unsafe conditions will be reported immediately to our Supervisor for prompt attention. We will develop,review,and submit JOB Hazard Analysis for each phase of work and post them for employees daily review. EAS will permit only those employees qualified by training or experience to operate equipment and machinery. We will develop an emergency evacuation plan, train our employees and post it for constant review. EAS has a 100% fall protection policy, which is above OSHA standards and enforced strickly. No worker will work six [6] feet or greater above the ground without proper fall protection. Fall protection for ladders will be per Subpart X of the OSHA standard. No work will be performed on any equipment, machinery, or systems without it being locked out/ or tagged. We are aware of the OSHA standards for covering holes and have reviewed the requirements and will follow such. No worker will remove barricades for floor covers without authorization. No worker will engage in horseplay, fighting or gambling of any form. No worker will cross, disregard, or enter a barricaded, taped or flagged area. It is the responsibility of each worker to perform their assigned duties as to provide safety to them and their fellow workers.
