The terms of the contract mean that we may continue to offer the existing 8 SKUs until March 31st, 2022, after which they will be removed from the price list. We will continue to position our Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software for customers with complex absence and attendance requirements that are not met by either SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central or SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking. BACKGROUND With the launch of our new SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking solution, we decided we needed to simplify and streamline our go-to-market strategy regarding time and attendance. Having two partners with similar solution extension products was confusing to customers and to the market in general. Strategy Our strategy is to deliver advanced, innovative time and attendance capabilities that support our cloud and onpremise customers as they look to us to facilitate their journey to the cloud. This means: • Focusing on capabilities that are fundamental in getting people paid and contribute to people’s work/life balance and experience, for customers of all sizes and in all industries around the globe. • Fulfilling opportunities beyond HCM. The SAP Intelligent Enterprise will connect time and attendance processes for employees and contingent workers with finance, procurement, and operations to allow for smarter planning, sourcing, and billing. In delivering this strategy, our product investment and development objectives are to ensure our customers will be successful – both today and tomorrow – by ensuring they can trust us to handle their most complex needs. This means we need to provide best-in-class products to run their business efficiently, intelligently, and in compliance with global regulations. To do this, we will: • Continue to invest and develop our absence capabilities (Time Off) within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and our attendance capabilities (Time Sheet) within our new SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking solution, and • Invest in our partnership with WorkForce Software to help us accelerate and deliver innovative key solutions for customers with more complex workforce management requirements. 4 Why is this strategy unique and better than others in the market? • Where other vendors see this as a ‘checkbox’, we’re investing in this area to fuel new approaches and support new strategies, such as the Intelligent Enterprise. • Our heritage of 40 years in the ERP industry, a proven history meeting the needs of the most global and diverse customer base on the planet, and modern technology solutions allow us to provide simplified, guided processes for planning, sourcing, and paying the total workforce. • We’re capitalizing on the SAP Partner Ecosystem by offering integrated solutions which are designed and delivered in close collaboration to ensure seamless customers experiences and to take the pain out of integration efforts. What types of investment is SAP making for SAP SuccessFactors Time Management? • Within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central we are improving absence management with country-specific features, and we are extending our localized best-practice content • As part of The Intelligent Enterprise we will focus on capabilities that enable smart time tracking, including labor distribution for the total workforce to support finance, procurement, and HR. Additionally, analytics (enabled by SAP Analytics Cloud) will help organizations to make better-informed decisions related to workforce cost, leave liability, and productivity. • Within SAP SuccessFactors we are planning the next level of self-service via our Digital Assistant that allows employees to interact with their timesheet based on guided and intuitive procedures How are we positioning each product? We will offer SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking for organizations that need global absence management capabilities and time tracking/evaluation, time off management and basic overtime calculation capabilities, ensuring correct employee payments. We will position our WorkForce Software solution extensions for organizations that need workforce scheduling (and/or rostering), complex time tracking for hourly paid workers, and advanced leave management, including more complex scenarios such as FMLA, workers compensation, military wartime, etc. Product Naming Note: All SAP solution extensions are sold on SAP paper as SAP products, so we must always refer to them by their correct product names as approved by SAP Branding (see below). However, within this document - for simplicity - we will refer to the four SKUs as Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software or Solution Extensions. PRODUCT QUESTIONS REGARDING THESE SOLUTION EXTENSIONS What will we offer? We will offer the following solutions, globally. Highlights include: • Minimize unearned time off by ensuring employee eligibility for that time • Automate accrual policies in real time, including prorations, carryovers, transfers, grandfathered rules, etc. • Determine eligibility (legislation, union agreements or company policies) of leave, and manage leave cases, with pre-built and configurable workflows • Employee self-service that improves communications and transparency into eligibility, workflows, approvals, balances and team calendars • Built-in compliance (North America) with an update service for new or amended laws. • Knowledge base for regulations and medical guidelines SAP Time and Attendance Management by WorkForce Software, Additional Tenant For customers who need more than the three instances (Development, Testing & Production), provided Note: This option does not have tiered pricing; it is sold for a fixed fee per tenant. INTEGRATION What are the integration scenarios between SAP and WorkForce Software? All three solutions can be integrated with Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, SAP ERP HCM, and SAP ERP Payroll. Discussions are currently ongoing regarding enhanced integration for: • • • • Global Assignments Concurrent Employment Event-based integration (New Hire, Rehire, Termination, etc.) Integration to ECP These integrations will be backward compatible to existing versions of SFSF & WFS systems. Note: Integration to SAP Work Zone for HR not in scope right now. Which clocks does WFS integrate with? WFS can leverage most existing time clocks. 7 Can customers use SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off and SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking in parallel with the Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software? Yes, but for both performance reasons, we do not recommend scenarios where EC Time and the Solution Extensions are being used in parallel for one employee. In other words, there should always be ONE Time Management system in place for each employee, for example, EC Time for salaried employees and Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software for complex hourly paid employees. What are the product prerequisites for the Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software? SAP Time and Attendance Management by WorkForce Software (8008384), SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software (8008385) and SAP Absence and Leave Management by WorkForce Software (8008387) are not dependent on one another; they can be sold and used separately. However, each requires an HR system of record with all the relevant employee master data, which means either SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central or SAP ERP HCM (on premise) are prerequisites. This is our long-term solution. The agreement will automatically renew on an annual basis. Do standard SAP Cloud Terms & Conditions apply? Yes Is the demo environment configured to be able to show the WFS integration? Yes. We have set up multiple integrated demo instances with demo scripts. Are the demo environments updated with the latest WFS UI? Yes, this is now included in the demo systems, and we are working on enhancing the integration. Where can I learn more about the Solution Extensions? Please review the content on Partner Edge. 9 What do we position for net new SFSF customers? We should always position SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and/or SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking first. For prospects with more complex time recording requirements, we recommend that they consider WFS. SAP Time Management by Kronos will remain on the price list until March 31st, 2022. KRONOS QUESTIONS Will we provide a migration path/tools for customer who want to move from Kronos to Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software? Clients should work with the SI partner regarding migrating the data. Configuration migration is not currently available. What about existing Kronos customers? You may encounter the following scenarios: • New customer wants to purchase Kronos: Customers can still purchase Kronos on SAP paper until March 31, 2022. • Inflight deals (customer is evaluating or has already decided on Kronos): Notify the customer that SAP has made a change in strategic direction and Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software are the Time and Attendance Management solutions moving forward. Let the customer decide based on the solution that best meets their business requirements. • Customer has just bought Kronos: If they want to keep it, SAP & Kronos are obligated to deliver the service to the customer until the end of their contract. • Existing customer wants to buy more licenses: Existing customers can buy more licenses at any time during the remainder of their contract. • Existing contract is about to end, and customer wants to renew Kronos: • If the customer’s contract includes an auto-renewal, the customer can renew per the terms of the autorenewal clause. • If the customer wishes to renew beyond the auto-renewal terms or does not have an auto-renewal clause and wishes to renew, we need to communicate to the customer that our go-to-market solution for Time Management is with solution extensions by WorkForce Software and let the customer decide how they would like to proceed. If they still want to renew, then they may do so either on SAP paper or directly with Kronos. How long can existing Kronos customers obtain technical support, training or other services from SAP? While the contract is active there are no changes for customers. Is the Reseller Agreement between SAP and Kronos ending? Yes, effective March 31st, 2022. Until then, the reseller agreement with Kronos remains in place and they are a partner in good standing. Existing customers can continue to ‘buy more’ but the upsell order needs to co-term with the initial order form. 10 If I have an existing Kronos opportunity, will I be able to close the opportunity? Yes. Existing net new opportunities can be closed until March 31, 2022. Upsell opportunities can be sold through the life of the current contract. If I have an existing SAP Time Management by Kronos opportunity in pipeline, am I restricted from introducing Solution extensions by WorkForce Software into my account? We have an obligation to communicate to customers in active sales cycles SAP’s current strategic direction. We want customers to make informed decisions. SUPPORT What is the support model for Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software? SAP will be responsible for L1 support. WorkForce Software will provide L2 & L3 support to SAP. Is preferred care included for Solution Extensions by WorkForce Software? No, Preferred Care/Preferred Success is not offered for Solution Extension products. What is the support model for Kronos? SAP will continue to provide L1 support (Kronos will provide L2 & L3 support) through the remainder of the customer contract.
