DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN EDUCATION
Major in Educational Leadership and Management
Assignment #1 in Paulinian Philosophy of Education
1. Write a short essay on possible update of your school vision-mission and core values
distinguishing between fidelity and creativity. Should fidelity be the basis of your
creativity or should creativity be the basis of your fidelity? Provide a real life example from
your school.
There are some potential updates to Maryhill College's vision-mission and core
values by differentiating between fidelity and creativity. In our school's vision-mission and
core values, in my personal opinion fidelity appears to be the foundation for creativity. As
a result of our aforementioned discussion about moral philosophy, I have confidence that
fidelity is the foundation for creativity, as stated in our school's vision, mission, and core
values.
2. Make a table of alignment outlining the convergences and divergences of your school

3. Write a brief description of your learning takeaways from our first session along with
the teaching methodology followed.
Our professor, Fr. Norman throughout the first session, provided us with some key
points to remember and apply in our daily lives, particularly in the context of our
schoolwork. Our school's philosophy, vision-mission, and core values, according to
Fr. Norman, should be reflected in the various learning materials we use to teach our
students, As a result, as a teacher I realized that we needed to instil our institution's
philosophy, vision-mission, and core values in everything we appears to have done so that
we could see the value of our college in ourselves as a staff.
