Intended application
The Studio 5000 Logix Designer and its integrated tools fulfil the requirements of
IEC 61508:2010 regarding the off-line support tools classified as T3 and T2. For the
T1 tools it can be confirmed the category of T1.
In addition the Studio 5000 Logix Designer meets the requirements for a
parameterization tool according to EN ISO 13849-1 clause 4.6.4 and EN 62061
clause 6.11.2.
The integrated library elements fulfil the requirements of IEC 61508:2010 regarding
systematic capability of three (SC 3) and can be used in application software
developments up to safety integrity level of three (SIL 3).
Specific requirements
In all cases the respective constraints and restrictions mentioned in the user
documentation have to be considered and the respective notifications provided on
the Rockwell Automation’s internet Knowledge Base have to be taken into account.
The user must validate the overall functionality of the implemented safety functions
beyond the limits of the individual devices.

This certificate is valid only for products which are identical with the product tested.
