Initial Instructions
Researcher:
Good morning participants, thank you so much for participating in our study. Here is a
consent form, please read it carefully and sign if you agree to the terms. If you have
any questions before signing, please don’t hesitate to ask me. If, for any reason, you
do not wish to participate please let me know.
This experiment will not take long. You will each be individually brought into a room
downstairs by one of our researchers. When you enter the room, please take a seat,
listen to the researcher and please follow their instructions carefully. You will be
asked to answer a brief question, using the pen and paper provided. Please answer
as honestly as you can, keeping in mind that the data will be completely anonymous.
Once finished, you will be brought into the common room for debriefing where you
will wait until all the participants have finished. Please do not say anything to other
participants until they have also completed the study. If, for any reason you would like
to withdraw at any time, please notify me. Are there any questions related to the
consent form? All questions about the experiment will be answered after during the
debrief.
