Evaluation/Reflection of vSim Charlie Snow (Anaphylaxis) Purpose: To develop critical thinking and reflection of practice using self-evaluation of one’s own practice Patient assignments for virtual clinical activities are to be treated as live patients; therefore, students must demonstrate the ability to safely care for their virtual patients as if they were caring for them in person. Virtual clinical activities need to be completed individually unless otherwise stated, including the online activities and all associated paperwork. vSim paperwork is an individual assignment and must be written in your own words (not copy/paste). "Turnitin" will be used, and similarity reports will be analyzed for plagiarism. It should be a minimum of 4 paragraphs addressing details and descriptions. Do not describe your actions in order of completion. Reflection on your specific practice within the Vsim to address the following questions. Address the following items in your evaluation/reflection of your practice while taking care of Charlie Snow (make this specific to your care of Charlie – do not just answer to the questions): Based on your SBAR report, what did you think were your priority assessments & interventions for Charlie? Did you follow this thought during your vSim? (use your feedback log to review) What nursing care/interventions did you provide to Charlie that was important to limit complications and why? Thinking about growth and development and your approach to taking care of Charlie, what did you do and/or could be done to decrease Charlie’s anxiety? While reviewing your 1st attempt feedback log, what nursing interventions were completed timely and appropriately? What nursing interventions were missed? What was your main take away from the Vsim that you incorporate into your nursing practice in the future and why?
