Unit F Assignment - Identify your CA State Assembly and Senate Representatives
Assemblymember Kelly Seyarto serves in my state's legislative body. Ochoa Bogh is the
senator that represents my district. Senator Ochoa Bogh votes on particular issues using
democracy just like every other senator. All votes are recorded on a tally sheet. The vote only is
passed when the majority agrees. There are several exceptions, but they usually don't matter.
When it comes to passing legislation, the Senate has a wide range of options. Senator Ochoa
Bogh was interested in lowering the cost of living and taxes for Californians. This is a topic that
matters to me. When it comes to her political stance, Ochoa Bogh focuses on helping those who
are less fortunate. The people seem to be her priority.
