NEXIUM BagSAT manportable terminal offers to soldiers
on the battlefield end-to-end secure and protected
seamless connectivity with throughput adaptation
under extreme threats (including anti-interference and
anti-jamming features).
Rapidly deployable within 5 minutes by one man for
all-terrain operations, BagSAT terminal is designed to
provide armed forces a highly resilient, reliable and flexible
satcom capability. The terminal is lightweight, rugged and
small enough to fit in a rucksack or a suitcase, and built
to be air-dropped or jumped for operation in the most
austere environments for extended periods.
BagSAT is built on Thales’s ruggedised version of the
MODEM 21 Milsatcom IP EPM modem. Therefore, the
terminal easily operates with SYSTEM 21-based MilSatCom
networks, benefitting from bandwidth optimization, IP
connectivity and anti-jamming protection.
BagSAT includes 3 main parts (RF block, MODEM 21,
Operator terminal) delivering optimized IP services for voice,
data and video thanks to its high power / high throughput.
