Now, make a reflection on your responses. What could be the implication if most of the chores are
accomplished daily? If not accomplished daily? What could be the effects to our behavior
improvement?
According to my response, doing most, if not all, of your chores provides us with a sense
of discipline, implying that you value your responsibilities at home over irrelevant activities such
as playing video games or watching television all day. Now don’t get me wrong, playing games,
watching, or just simply taking a break is also important in one’s lifestyle because our body and
mind also need to relax and relieve stress.
Doing daily household chores improves our planning and time management, teaches us
and improves our life skills (cooking, washing, cleaning), and most importantly, it promotes us
to be physically active every day. Doing physical activities daily like doing household chores is
one of the most important things you can do for your health. It gives us so many health benefits
like brain health, weight management, reducing disease, strengthening your bones and muscles,
and improving your ability to do everyday activities.
The opposite is also true, when we don’t do most of our assigned chores, it shows that
you’re either lazy, doesn’t care about themselves, or lives an unhealthy and inactive lifestyle.
When we live an inactive lifestyle, it degrades our quality of life and body. We are exposed to
diseases and health risks like heart diseases, diabetes and the like.
This is why we need to physically active; doing household chores may be light to
moderate intensity but it still contributes to being physically active and healthy.

➢ I will limit my sugar intake by choosing a diet based on whole foods
rather than highly processed within a year, which will increase my
satiety, or a feeling of fullness or satisfaction with the food that you
eat and decrease the harmful effects that sugar has on my body.
S
“Limit my sugar intake”
M
Progress shall be measured through weight change, journal or a
smartphone app that document my goals and track my progress
toward meeting them.
A
By choosing a diet based on whole foods rather than highly processed
alternatives, limiting my sugar intake within a year can be effectively
achieved and it is a goal that anyone who is trying to improve their
nutrition should consider.
R
This is a relevant goal for people who want to reduce their
sugar or sweets intake and to those who want to decrease the
harmful effects that sugar has on their body.
T
The deadline for this goal is within a year.
