Report Preparation of water bottle A water bottle was poked using a pair of scissors. A small hole was formed around 1cm above the bottom. The edge of the hole was painted black in order t o identify the position. Experiment (1) The hole was blocked by one finge r wh ile water was filled into the water bottle. One third of the wate r bottle was filled with water. The hole was unblocked by the finger over the sink. The result was observed and recorded. Experiment (2) The bucket was placed in front of the step-stool. The hole was blocked by a finger and thre e-quarters of the water bottle was filled with water. The water bottle was brought above the bucket by the experimenter (i.e., me) wh ile the experimenter stood on the step-stool. The finge r was released from the hole. The result was recorded. Then, the water bottle was released from the hand. The result was observed. Result: the plate slowly. Keep twirling back and forth for a while until the motion of the plate stopped spontaneously. Result 1. When the experimenter(i.e., I) stopped acting a force to the plate, the plate would still move in a circular path for a while. After that, it would stop the motion after s wing ing forth and back several times. 2. The plate could not sharply stop without spilling water or dropping the bowl. 3. The plastic bowl did not fall or slightly mov ed from its position. 4. No water was spilt out. 5. When swinging the plate, a force kept pulling the experimenter's(i.e., my) hand along the strings.
