WELCOME TO 7th GRADE MATH
ACCELERATED
To students and Parents/Guardians,
My name is Ms. Jackson and I am going to be your student’s math motivator (teacher) this
school year. I want to give you some information about 7th Grade Math Accelerated and inform
you of the expectations for my math classroom. My goal for the year, is to instill a love of
learning math in each child and to encourage my students to be matematical thinkers. If you
have questions or concerns, please feel free to call (leave a message for me in the office) or
email at any time. I look forward to working with you and your child and anticipate a fun and
successful year!

Attendance (Daily)
You will meet in class through canvas. Online students should be muted, with their cameras off.
They may use the chat option as a response to raise their hand and to type in questions.

Communication Procedures with Parent/Guardian:
A parent conference can be scheduled through the grade level guidance counselor. Parents
can contact me via email or phone call/text message (see page 1) and I will respond within 24
hours. Students and Parents/Guardians have the ability to log into the portal and are
encouraged to do so weekly to monitor your students’ progress. I will also reach out to you if
something great happens in class or if I have a concern. I will contact you via the number/email
provided below
