It provides preinstallation data such as site preparation prior to delivery of an Advantx MP Ph4, product information, environmental and electrical requirements, and some additional planning aids. For system requirements, such as room layout, system interconnection, refer to the appropriate System Preinstallation Manual or MIS Maps. SECTION 2 DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT The Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray generator is provided as a main part of the Vascular System; it enhances the System by producing X–Ray beam and in room system source of power supply. It is also provided in Remote R&F room with a Tilt–C gantry. A basic Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray generator contains the main parts as follows: MPPU1 – Cabinet with a X–Ray generator MPPU2 – Cabinet with an AC distribution panel MPPU4 – EMC filter (inside MPPU2) MPPU5 – Micro grid H.V. tank Independently of X–Ray beam power requested by the uses, it is be supplied for 100 kW. The Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray generator can feed two X–Ray tubes as follows: Mainly a MAXIRAY 150 on positioner, and a MAXIRAY 100 used with an auxiliary device like long log film changer by example. INTRODUCTION CHAPTER 1 – INTRODUCTION GE Medical Systems Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray Generator INTRODUCTION REV 5 pim 2127979–100 SECTION 3 RESPONSIBILITY OF PURCHASER “Preinstallation” refers to work necessary to plan and prepare a site for installation of an Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray generator equipment, whether included in a complete new system or being added to an existing X–Ray room. Delay, confusion and waste of manpower can be avoided by adequate preinstallation work, including: procurement of required materials, installation of material required before delivery of Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray generator, anticipation of alterations and modifications not already provided in the sales contract, to match with the ligne resistance requirements or with the NEC table requirements. The direction number for the Advantx System MIS varies depending upon type of system (e.g. RAD, R&F, VAS). ROOM REQUIREMENTS Only WYE (three phase star) main power supply diagrams are allowed. All three phase DELTA main power supply diagram are forbidden. Due to a large frequency band, the main circuit breaker with differential must be in compliance with a type defined by GEMSE and mustn’t disconnect untimely. From room power distribution panel, just a power cable is supplied by customer. Advantx MP Ph4 X–Ray generator provides power supply to others X–Ray components listed in power supply interconnect chapter. Note: Route power feeds away from sensitive system cables such as video control and coax cables which come from the system cabinet or video camera head. The power feed should never share the same conduit or raceway as any video cable. Even short lengths can cause significant problems. Dividers in raceways or adjacent conduits or raceways are not sufficient separation in most instances. Physical separation is the only sure way to eliminate contamination of the video signal from power line hum. For Advantx–E systems, maintain a 2 meter minimum distance between the TV1, TV2 and TV3 cables and the 380 to 480 VAC power line (MIS #10813A) to the MP Ph4 power unit. Note 2: Change from 15 to 20 kVA for a biplane use. Line impedance GEMS Engineering has defined a maximum value of line impedance calculated on nominal input voltage equal 380 V rms. If the input voltage has an other value, a table provides the adequate value adapted to the new input voltage (see table 2–7). If the PDP is equipped with a differential calibrated to 30 mA, the latter must be at least with class A (for pulse waveform current). ROOM REQUIREMENTS CAUTION For instance with a 380 V, 3 phases, electrical network the circuit breaker may be sized as follows: 3–6 for MP Ph4 100: thermal circuit breaker = 80 A with a magnetic breaker at 960 A 20%. Line regulation To correctly feed a High Frequency X–Ray Generator like the Advantx MP Ph4, the main characteristics are the limits of the impedance according to table 2–7. 3–7 Electrical room circuit This chapter has been added to provide additional data regarding power circuit provided by the customer and internal electrical circuits to supply a correct power to the Tilt–C R/F room and Vascular room system.
