Communication should address the following questions: What is this change about? This change will provide: a more user-friendly way for us all to request leave, claim expenses, etc one modern finance system for the whole agency to replace the two old finance systems used by the MHRA and NIBSC a new procurement system for the agency replacing the paper-based process currently used by the MHRA an HR system that does a whole host of things that our old system just cannot do! Why are we doing this? We are doing this because: the Oracle e-Business Suite system we use at the MHRA is at end of life and needs to be replaced despite the merger, the MHRA and NIBSC still use who different systems What are we trying to achieve? We are trying to achieve a transformation from old to modern business processes that are standardised across the agency for finance, HR and procurement, and so achieve a much improved user experience. How are we going to do it? The transformation will be enabled by new cloud-based applications in Oracle Cloud. Our colleagues in Finance, HR and Procurement are already working with Oracle to assess the impact of the change on the way we work. For many of us the change will be minor whilst for some there will be new applications to use in place of manual processes. Over the coming months we will be identifying the training and support that different user groups will need. When are we going to do it? There will be a staggered approach to delivery of the various applications, many of them early in August this year What are the business benefits? What are the benefits to me, i.e. what’s in it for me? How will it affect the employees, managers, customers, suppliers, etc? How will I now be doing my job? What tools, training and support will I get to help me make this change? What does success look like and how will I be measured? What will be changing and what NOT be changing? What will be the consequences if we / I don’t change?
