The definition of psychology
It’s the science that focuses on the study of both the mind and behavior; the way the
mind/the brain functions, the way people behave and react, individual’s personality or a group
of people in the society.
Psychology analysis and studies people’s different personalities and helps to understand
differences, and integration in a given community. It is also a science which is used to help
individuals overcome some psychological factors like: over-emotions/feeling (angriness,
sadness, shyness, fear,…) depression, suicide, phobias, social-interaction……….
The definition of education
It’s the process of learning and acquiring a certain knowledge through various habits of
either instructions, actions, experiences or observations. The different knowledge acquired
and learned is all included in the brain then later end up as a result of behavior’s change.
Education is the process of getting knowledge and intellect through different means that
cannot be limited to academic setting. Knowledge is of different forms that can be acquired
through life experiences, from parents, friends, society, daily readings, daily encounters,
hobbies, interactions……. At the end, a person get diver knowledge in different sides of life
and makes up his own personality, values, principals, ethics and life wisdom then result in his
behaviors.

It’s a science that helps to understand the psychological process of education that involves
both:

The learner
In

the process of teaching (method, skills,
strategies, academic relationships,
development, human interactions)
and understanding the learner needs,
objectives, differences….
the process of learning and acquiring,
knowledge through different means and their
interaction with the teacher, the factors that
influence their education either summed up
in their personal life or the academic
environment.
The objectives of educational psychology
_It helps to get the best skills in teaching and learning.
_Get an effective classroom management and learning environment.

_Understand the learners learning strategies, personality, attitudes and differences.
_Develop adequate materials and methods for both teaching and learning.
_Solving educational problems, issues, and providing counseling.
_Understanding the learning process and get an effective teaching method.
_Factors affecting the teaching/learning process.
_Understand students’s behaviours and guide them in their development and growth.
_Think psychologically about educational and academic problems.
_Helps open up to new possibilities and world differences.
