P&G (Procter & Gamble)
INTRODUCTION: Procter and Gamble (P&G) was formed by William Procter and James Gamble
in 1837. It is an American multination consumer good manufacture and one of the largest in the world.
It manufactures products ranging from beauty and grooming, pet food and household and fabric care,
baby and family home care products and has its headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio USA.
What is a carbon footprint?
A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases (including carbon dioxide and methane)
that are generated by our actions. P&G highly recognise this and for cutting this they have taken some
steps.
Steps towards sustainability: Being one of the largest goods and services company in
the whole globe they felt their Environmental responsibility and During earth week 2018, they
released their new sustainability goals known as “Ambition 2030”. These ambition goals are focused
on various areas which are directly or indirectly related to the environment as well as ecosystem.

Ambition1: Brands making a positive impact:
1. 100% of leadership brands will enable and inspire positive consumption.
2. All of their product’s packaging will be recyclable and reusable.
3. Transparency to consumers what they are using.

2030 Ambition 2: Reducing our supply chain footprint:
1. 100% renewable electricity and cut GHG emissions in half at P&G sites
2. Collaborate with numerous organizations to increase the global area of certified forests, while
strengthening certification systems.
3. Lead the charge in efforts to develop products with a Forest Positive approach.

2030 Ambition 3: A society working together:
1. Create solutions so that no packaging finds its way to the ocean
2. Protect water for people and nature

2030 Ambition: Integrate sustainability in our workplace:
1. Integrating social and environmental sustainability in business plans as a key strategy.
2. Educate employees across all levels.
3. Reward progress and integrate recognition in employee performance assessments.
